2023 KIA EV6 EARNS 2022 IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ AWARD
All six of the 2022 IIHS crashworthiness tests, which included the side (original 2022 test),
roof strength, head restraint, driver-side small overlap front, passenger-side small overlap front, and moderate overlap front tests,
gave the EV6 "good" ratings. In addition, it received a "outstanding" grade for optional front crash prevention
(in tests of automotive and (daytime) motor collisions) and a "good" rating for the headlamps that come as usual.
The EV6's release in 2022, the brand's first exclusively battery electric vehicle (BEV),
marked the beginning of Kia's 'Plan S' strategy in the United States, which plans to
introduce 14 brand-new supercharged cars worldwide by 2027.
