Buick Electra E5 Debuts In China As An Ultium-Based Electric Luxury Crossover

Buick's transition is picking up steam now that the brand-new Electra E5 has been revealed in China.

The company's new "Pure" design philosophy, which was hinted at by the Electra-X concept, is included in the Electra E5,

which seems slated to serve as brand's first Ultium-based electric car. 

"Electrified luxury with modern and athletic aesthetics" is the goal.

The crossover sports flying wing daytime running lights and headlights with separate welcome animations,

according to Buick, without providing many further details. The new tri-shield emblem and an enclosed trapezoidal grille with

 a parametric design connect them.
