Did Nissan ever make a V8 sports car?
Yes, technically. An Altima V8 Supercar that raced in the V8 Supercars Championship was introduced by Nissan,
according to the Australian automotive news website Drive.com.
The vehicle itself was a unique racecar built on the Altima for the 2013 model year.
Under its hood, it housed a Nissan Patrol V8 engine.
The Kelly Racing crew actually constructed the vehicle, which they claim required 12,500 hours of design work,
350 hours of machining, and more than 900 hours of manufacturing.
The Nissan Altima V8 Supercar, according to Racecar Engineering, is ultimately worth more than $1.5 million.
