Does the world need a Toyota Tacoma Hybrid?

The Ford Maverick has excellent gas economy and is reasonably priced. Even while a Tacoma Hybrid should cost more than

the gas-only model and have worse gas mileage than the little Maverick, it would still be more costly.

For many customers, a Toyota Tacoma Hybrid would be a welcome addition to the Japanese automaker's inventory.

A Taco hybrid wouldn't come as much of a surprise as Toyota offers various hybrid variations of well-known nameplates.
