Ford and Kia EVs keep the lights on after California earthquake

Following a recent earthquake, a dealership in Northern California is being run by a Ford F150 Lightning and a Kia Niro EV.

Electric vehicles with vehicle-to-load technology were transported to supply power to a nearby dealership after a large earthquake

destroyed and interrupted infrastructure in Northern California earlier this week. According to AutoEvolution, Harper Motors in Eureka

California, posted on their Facebook page that the two EVs are enabling them to continue operating and providing customer service.

The 6.4 magnitude earthquake that struck Humboldt County, according to CNN, was a 

terrible force that has now claimed the lives of two individuals and wounded many more.
