Ford Ranger edges Tesla Model Y in November sales
By surpassing the Tesla Model Y to become the most popular car in New Zealand in November, the Ford Ranger has maintained its sales momentum.
According to information made public by the Motor Industry Association, 1527 Rangers in all were registered in December.
The Model Y (1099 registrations) came in second, followed by the Toyota Hilux (925), with
the popular pickup truck earning almost 50% more registrations. Top 10 vehicles included
the Mitsubishi Outlander (599), Toyota RAV4 (572), BYD Atto 3 (475), Suzuki Swift (438), Mitsubishi ASX (397), MG ZS (360), and Mitsubishi Triton (313) as well.
A total of 15,621 new cars were registered in November, a 4.3% decrease from the same month last year.
With one month remaining in the year, the market is down 0.2% overall.
