GM Developing Ultium-Based EV Sedan That Could Replace the Chevy Malibu
According to GM Authority, who broke the news first, GM President Mark Reuss recently disclosed that an electric Chevy car is being created for China.
Reuss stated that the new Ultium-based EV is still in the early stages of development and that it may be imported to the United States to replace the Malibu.
We believe the Chevy FNR-XE car concept's design might serve as a prelude for a Malibu EV with its Chinese premiere.
Over the past ten years, the popularity of SUVs and crossovers has exploded, leaving just the Malibu among Chevrolet's once-vibrant portfolio of sedans.
The mid-size car, which has been in production since 2016 and had
a minor update in 2019, is becoming old. However,
with General Motors, there is now optimism for the Malibu's future.
