Honda Ridgeline vs. Jeep Gladiator: Performance and capacities
A 3.5-liter V6 engine with 262 lb-ft of torque and 280 horsepower is used in the Honda Ridgeline's drivetrain. Given that the 2023 Jeep Gladiator's 3.6-liter V6 engine can
generate 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, its performance numbers are practically identical. The towing capacity of the two mid-size vehicles,
however, are very different. The 2023 Jeep Gladiator comes in five trim levels: Sport, Sport S, Willys, Willys Sport, and Freedom.
These models have a 1,700-lb towing capability and can pull up to 4,000 pounds.
The Mojave and Rubicon trims, which have a 4,500-lb towing capability, are the next in line.
The payload capacity for these trims, however, is also reduced to 1,200 lbs.
Last but not least, the Overland and High Altitude trims can tow 6,000 lbs, which is the most.
