Other Tundra trims aren’t worth the price
Purchasing a full-size truck already comes with a hefty price tag. The top-tier versions in the 2023 Toyota Tundra portfolio are just too expensive and not worth the expense.
The Tundra range includes the 1794 Edition, Platinum, TRD Pro, and Capstone models after the Limited variant. Only the top two trims are exorbitantly priced,
but lesser models aren't exactly inexpensive. The price of a Tundra 1794 Edition is $61,255, while the price of the Platinum version is $63,570.
Both cost more than $10,000 more than the Limited model recommended by Edmunds and close to $15,000 more than
the Tundra SR5 suggested by Car & Driver. Even more expensive is purchasing
a top-of-the-line full-size pickup from Toyota.
The entry-level TRD Pro model costs $70,315 while the opulent Capstone trim costs $77,040.
