Tesla Recalls 362,758 Cars Due to "Crash Risk" with Full Self-Drive
Tesla is now starting a widespread recall of vehicles that have been loaded with full self-driving (FSD) software.
All of Tesla's currently available cars are included, starting with the Model S and Model X in 2016,
the Model 3 in 2017, and the Model Y in 2020. 362,758 vehicles in total are subject to the recall.
FSD's effectiveness in certain situations is being questioned since it may allow "a vehicle to
exceed speed restrictions or go through intersections in an unapproved or unexpected
manner," which in turn raises the possibility of an accident. The National Highway Traffic
Safety Administration (NHTSA) issued a recall warning that specifically mentions
at the 39-second mark. I have no idea whether this is the car's roof. Later, as the car proceeds down the assembly line, more robot arms can be seen working on it.
