Tested: The 2023 Kia EV6 GT Scrambles Brand Perceptions
The Kia EV6 GT and the less expensive EV6 GT-Line variants have hardly different names. It's a bit of an undersell that Kia designates the best-performing model of its
mid-size EV by excluding rather than adding to the designation, but the GT's hardware demonstrates the extent of this endeavour. The powertrain represents the major accomplishment.
Other dual-motor, all-wheel-drive EV6 versions deliver 320 total horsepower, but the GT is bursting with 576, perhaps after downing a can of spinach.
The entire thundering herd is accessible in a new GT mode. Eco reduces output to 288 horsepower,
while Normal and Sport keep it at 460 horsepower.
The all-wheel-drive GT-446 Line's pound-feet of torque's 545 pound-feet
equivalent maximum torque is always available.
