The Department of Transportation reports that Tesla has initiated 20 recalls this year, totaling 3,769,581 cars.
Ford led the league with 65 recalls in 2022, but eight manufacturers had more than Tesla.
However, Musk's electric car manufacturer ranks second after Ford with 8,623,965 affected vehicles.
The leading manufacturer of electric automobiles in the US is Tesla. The company anticipates selling about a million electrified vehicles globally in 2021
Of those, more than 300,000 were shipped to Americans. Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, estimates that 4 million people own Tesla automobiles.
That number becomes considerably more pertinent in light of the most recent Tesla recall.
