The Le Mans Hypercar from Lamborghini will have a twin-turbo hybrid V8.

The twin-turbo hybrid V8 engine powering the Lamborghini Hypercar that will race

in the 24 Hours of Le Mans was created internally by the company's racing division,

Squadra Corse. The Italian LMDh competitor will compete in both the GTP class of

the IMSA SportsCar Championship and the World Endurance Championship in 2024.

Squadra Corse had previously used modified versions of the company's V10 and V12 engines in its

racing Lamborghinis, but this project is the first time the team has built a racing engine from the ground up.

The turbo V8 engine will be paired with an Energy Recovery System to produce 681 horsepower in

of traffic: one coming from the left and one coming from the right. Teslas have become adept at doing this manoeuvre after first finding it difficult.
