The Subaru Ascent is on recall notice
The biggest SUV model offered by Subaru is the Ascent. According to CNN, the company is recalling 271,694 SUVs due to a potential fire hazard.
It appears that the Ascent's cabin heating system is to blame.
A car fire could result from an electrical grounding bolt that is secured to the heating system.
Subaru advises 2019–2022 Subaru Ascent owners to park their SUVs outside as opposed to within any buildings that can catch fire.
Although it's impossible to predict how widespread this problem could be,
it's wise to err on the side of caution.
A recall of this scale undoubtedly makes many owners and buyers doubt the Ascent's dependability. How dependable is the Subaru Ascent, then?
