Dodge took the six-speed Tremec manual gearbox out of their online configurator in late 2021.
The decision was well-received by the Mopar fanbase; according to MotorTrend, a Powertrain Control Module (PCM) calibration prevented fans from receiving
a manual Hellcat for the 2022 model year. Furthermore, Dodge informed MotorTrend that the lack of
a three-pedal 2022 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat "isn't connected" to the PCM shortfall. Is the Dodge Challenger Hellcat's production slated to end in 2023?
Dodge will shortly stop producing the Challenger, including the manual Hellcat, which is unfortunate for Mopar fans.
The final Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, Redeye, and other retro-inspired Challengers will be produced in 2023.
After the 2023 model year, the normally aspirated 5.7L R/T and 6.4L R/T Scat Pack variants will likewise disappear.
