Why isn’t the 2023 Toyota Tacoma recommended by Consumer Reports?

Numerous factors might prevent Consumer Reports from endorsing the 2023 Toyota Tacoma.

It seems to be important to note, though, that just three small vehicles were given a recommendation.

For 2023, Consumer Reports solely endorses the Honda Ridgeline, Ford Maverick, and Ford Maverick Hybrid.

The Ford Maverick Hybrid can't be combined with AWD to perform truck tasks, so this is a little strange.

However, based on this, we may infer that reviewers might not like how the Tacoma drives. Each of the suggested choices has a unibody frame.

As a result, the ride is smoother and the handling is sportier.

However, it restricts suspension travel and off-roading capability.
